Raoul Wallenberg Organization: Honoring a Hero, Inspiring Change

At the Raoul Wallenberg Organization. We are dedicated to preserving the remarkable legacy of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat whose courageous actions during the Holocaust in Budapest, Hungary, saved countless lives.

Born on August 4, 1912, in Lidingö, Sweden, Raoul Wallenberg embarked on a mission to protect Jews from the unimaginable horrors of Nazi persecution. In 1944, he arrived in Budapest as a special envoy of the Swedish government, driven by an unwavering determination to make a difference.

Leveraging his diplomatic status, Wallenberg implemented innovative and daring methods to provide shelter, support, and hope to Jews facing deportation and imminent death. He fearlessly issued Swedish protective passports, bestowing invaluable documentation that saved thousands from falling into the clutches of the Nazis. Additionally, he established safe houses, and hospitals, and orchestrated the delivery of food and medical aid, extending lifelines to those in dire need.

Through his extraordinary efforts, Raoul Wallenberg is estimated to have saved an astonishing 20,000 to 30,000 Jews from the horrors of concentration camps. His unwavering dedication and unwavering courage have earned him profound respect and admiration worldwide.

However, Wallenberg’s path took a tragic turn. In January 1945, as Soviet forces approached Budapest, he was detained by the Soviet secret police, the NKVD. Despite tireless international endeavors to uncover the truth, the circumstances surrounding his arrest, imprisonment, and potential fate remain unresolved.

Raoul Wallenberg’s legacy is one of unwavering heroism, boundless compassion, and selflessness. He stands as a beacon of resistance against oppression, illuminating the immense impact that one individual can have in the face of great evil.

The Raoul Wallenberg Organization serves as a testament to his memory, ensuring that his inspirational legacy continues to ignite change in future generations. We are committed to championing justice, fighting against injustice, and upholding the rights and dignity of all. Through education, advocacy, and commemoration, we strive to empower individuals to make a positive difference in their communities and the world.

Join us in honoring Raoul Wallenberg’s extraordinary contributions and let his courageous spirit inspire us to create a brighter, more compassionate future for all.
